Instead, as part of the HCIT Ophthalmology Suite Version 7.1 offering, the use of the Product and Interface is provided. There is an additional per doctor maintenance fee, paid quarterly, for this product/interface Client does not need to enter into an agreement with Emdeon for their Clinician Requires internet connection
Patient Portal Certification Criteria: §170.314(e)(1) View, download, and transmit to 3rd party. Patient Portal:This secure Internet based solution allows Patient’s access to their Clinical Visit Summaries and Clinical History Summaries from their Providers in a standard format (CDA). Also allows messages of any kind from the Provider to their Patient Requires Patients’ to use IngagePatient for Patient Portal Services. There is no cost to the Practice or the Patient for this Service Requires internet connection
Patient Secure Messaging Certification Criteria:§ 170.314(e)(3) Secure messaging Secure Messaging: This secure Internet based solution allows Patient’s to send Messages directly to their Providers, providing ease of communication between Patient and Provider Requires Patients’ to use IngagePatient for Patient Portal Services. There is no cost to the Practice or the Patient for this Service Requires internet connection
Transition of Care Messaging Certification Criteria: §170.314(b)(1) & (b)(2) Transitions of care Transition of Care Messaging: Allows Providers to Create, Receive, and Transmit Transition of Care documents Requires Provider receiving Transition of Care Documents to use IngagePatient. There is no cost to the Provider for this Service Transition of Care Messaging does not currently support transmit/receipt of Transition of Care Documents from Providers who solely utilize Direct Messaging. HCIT Ophthalmology Suite Version 7.1 supports a range of other Messaging options for this purpose.
Specialized Registry Reporting Certification Criteria: Successful ongoing submission of specific case information from CEHRT to a specialized registry for the entire EHR reporting period Specialized Registry Reporting: Allows Providers to submit specific case information to an Ophthalmology Specialized Registry Requires Provider to sign up with the IRIS Registry from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. This service is at no charge to the Provider Requires internet connection as well as a Read Only Database User to be created and maintained by the IRIS Registry. An active connection from the IRIS Registry to your Database is also required
